From the mind of one of Menswear’s modern day innovators, Acronym is back for AW14 with their latest collection of expertly executed, staggeringly inventive designs.

Bridging the gap between form and functionality, head designer Errolson Hugh seeks to meet the needs of the modern urban environment through every single Acronym design, taking a lateral approach to each problem and equipping all of his pieces with a gob-smacking level of functionality.

Arguably the most obvious problem for any discerning outerwear designer, keeping the wearer safe from the elements is of high priority and, in response to this, Hugh deploys a selection of cutting edge fabrics across the collection, from fully taped GoreTex, to military-spec gabardine and three layer technical wool compounds.

Rising to the requirements of versatility, functionality and utility with an aggressively effective approach, Hugh has developed a roster of technological details carefully lavished on each design.

An Acronym classic, inspired by archive military design, their signature Jacket Sling allows the wearer to safely throw off the jacket at any time, held in place by the elasticated sling inside the jacket and is now joined by Drop In system, allowing the jacket two be worn partially, thanks to a speedlock secured cinch.

With each piece kitted out with a variety of pockets, ranging from magnetically secured map pockets to full length, waterproof zipped utility pockets, select pieces from the AW14 collection utilise Hugh’s signature Gravity Pocket, a zipped pouch at the sleeve allowing you device to be instantly accessed via a flap in the sleeve.

A staggering collection from an increasingly impressive, forward thinking designer, you can order the Acronym AW14 collection online now at the HYPEBEAST Store and END.
