The adidas Archipelago pack is our tribute to Stockholm’s unique Archipelago. It is a unique environment with thousands of islands all very accessible from Stockholm’s City. In fact, Stockholm City is placed on those islands. It is something we as residents of Stockholm are very proud of, and something we really love and cherish.

This SMU pack consists of two styles. The classic 90’s runner adidas Tech Super originally released in 1992, and the adidas ZX Flux that was released this year but has already gotten recognized as one of adidas’ future classics. And, as you might have learned by now – an SMU is not a collab. It means Special Make Up and means just that. adidas made this specially for us. Of course we have been involved in the design process, but as it is an SMU, it means no SNS logos on the shoes.

But design wise we have been all over them. adidas Tech Super with a combination upper of suede and canvas. White, non-marking, outsoles to make sure that you don’t leave any marks on deck when you are enjoying that boatlife. Blue upper to represent the water and the sky. Hemp laces to symbolize the hemp ropes usually used on boats. Insoles printed with the chart of Stockholm and of course our origin Södermalm and Åsögatan is on there.

For the adidas ZX Flux we decided to keep it even simpler using an all white perforated leather upper, a white midsole and outsole with hints of natural taking inspiration from the ropes usually made of hemp with matching hemp laces. Heel cage in leather that same natural tone, and three stripes in washed canvas to match the heel cage. Insoles are of course printed with the same chart of Stockholm as the Adidas Tech Super.

The adidas Archipelago Pack – Sneakersnstuff SMU are made in limited numbers and will be released online at on the 16th of August.
