Arguably one of the sneakers of the Summer, the adidas Originals Tubular Doom is back on the scene in an elegant black colorway. Using the signature Tubular Doom shape as a base, the ‘Core Black’ iteration blacks each panel out which results in a sleek shoe that perfectly demonstrates why adidas is doing so well this year.

The Tubular Doom in Core Black is constructed from a Primeknit base that hugs the foot for a sock-like fit all the way up to the ankle. An elastic strap at the front of the foot covers the Tubular Doom and adds further structure to the shoe whilst also adding aesthetics thanks to a zig-zag motif that contrasts to the Primeknit underneath. A suede covered cage not only adds subtle luxurious hints to the Tubular Doom, but houses understated three stripe branding, adds further support to the shoe and houses the lace system. A full suede heel panel works in conjunction with the cage and elastic straps to make the Tubular Doom extremely comfortable to wear.

The only contrast that can be found on the Tubular Doom is the iconic adidas branding at the top of the shoe. The White pair on the other hand sees more deviation from the classic ‘Triple White’ colorway. A grey cage and heel strap contrasts against a Pure White Primeknit sock and sole. Similar to the black pair, contrasting adidas branding can be found at the top of the Primeknit upper.
