Following on from our initial preview, here is a closer look at the Low Top Splash by Amsterdam-based footwear brand, Filling Pieces.
Channeling the work of American abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock’s opus ‘No.5 1948’ – one of the world’s most expensive paintings – Filling Pieces present this limited edition rendition of their Low Top model with paint flickers adorning the entirety of the sneaker’s make-up.
Typically, this inspired iteration holds up to the Dutch-brand’s exacting standards. Constructed from premium white tanned full grain leather with FP branding to the distinctive tongue, the uppers feature splattered paint, mimicking Pollock’s work which was originally created on fibreboard with liquid synthetic resin paint splashes.
