The Air Jordan 1 caught on with skaters back when it was originally released in 1985. The Jordan 1 provide support and comfort that simply wasn’t available with any of the skate shoes on the market. Nike is bringing back the Air Jordan 1 geared specifically to the skateboarding community with the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1. The sneakers were designed by multimedia artist Craig Stecyk, and inspired by his ‘Northwest Passage’ art installation. He also added the inscription ‘AJ One SB’ to the tongue, heel, and insole. The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 is set to drop on March 15th at for $150. Stay tuned as Nike have already confirmed a Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 designed by Lance Mountain to drop in the near future.
