As the year winds-down and the Air Jordan’s 30th anniversary approaches, we felt like it was right to show appreciation to the significant Air Jordan for its 30 years of greatness.

With that being said, we wanted to do a top 10 list of the classic Air Jordan 9 silhouette.

So without further ado here’s a list of the Top 10 Air Jordan 9’s:

10: Barons

Even though these are a very recent release, you couldn’t walk down the street without seeing these on someone’s feet. The Air Jordan 9 “Barons” showed tribute to Michael Jordan’s baseball days as a Birmingham Baron.

9: Bentley Ellis

The Air Jordan 9 “Bentley Ellis” is definitely apart of my top 10 list. Also known as the “Crawfish 9’s” these Jordan exclusives were part of the Johnny Kilroy pack that took the sneaker world by storm.

8. Johnny Kilroy

Most of us know Johnny Kilroy in the famous 1994 Air Jordan IX commercials. For those who don’t, Kilroy played Jordan’s alter ego in the commercials. They named this sneaker specifically after the character.

7. Olive

Released in 1993 and then released again in 2002 and 2012, the Air Jordan 9 “Olive” is definitely a classic that every Jordan collector must have. With a perfect contrast of black and olive, these Jordans were a must cop back then and definitely a must cop now.

6. Cool Grey

The Air Jordan 9 “Cool Grey” colorway is definitely an instant favorite. The sleek grey patent leather and the nice grey nubuck gave this sneaker an immediate appeal over most of the Jordan 9 releases before it.

5. Charcoal

A must have on and off the court were the Air Jordan 9 “Charcoal”. These Jordan classics have the ability to look good with almost anything you wore them with. Whether it was for basketball or simply for casual wear these were the Jordans to have in 1993.

4. Doernbecher

The resale value for a Doernbecher sneaker is usually pretty high, but the Air Jordan 9 “Doernbecher” is one of the most popular and priciest sneakers from the Jordan Doernbecher line to resell. Designed by Oswaldo Jimenez , the black and gold trim designed with feathers around the mid-sole and upper earn this Doernbecher the title as the most creative Jordan 9 to release.

3. Motorboat Jones

No one can refuse an all red colorway. That’s why the Air Jordan 9 “Motorboat Jones” are deemed the best shoe from the Johnny Kilroy pack. You are bound to turn a lot of heads with these on your feet. If these aren’t in your sneaker collection then you should go and get them.

2. Powder Blue

The Air Jordan 9 “Powder Blue” earns the second spot on my list because of its purity. The nice pearl white with the lavish powder blue around the mid-sole, had every Jordan collector in a frenzy to get their hands on them. Jordan debuted these for the first time in the North Carolina uniform and made these one of the best Jordan 9’s of all time.

1. White/Black/Red

An instant classic. The Air Jordan 9 “White/Black/Red” wears the crown as the best Air Jordan 9 to be released by Jordan. Its hard to go against the original colorway of the Air Jordan 9 seeing as it has every thing a sneaker is suppose to have. Knowing that Jordan was in the midst of his retirement is a little disappointing considering that we never actually seen Michael wear these on the court. However, the Air Jordan 9 reigns supreme over a lot of other Jordan models ever worn.
